Custom background pattern

In SimpleMind 2.9.5, you can add custom background patterns and images.

Any pattern or image smaller than 1024*1024 pixels will be tiled (repeated).

How to add a custom pattern or image

  • Select from the menu (Style) “Mind Map Style” to show Mind Map Style.
  • In Background select the “Pattern” button next to the background color.
  • Use the + button and select an image.
  • SimpleMind will add the image, this may take some time.

Contrast

When using a background, you still want your topics to be readable. That is why SimpleMind determines the overall background color and uses this if a topic doesn’t have a border. For example, this is the stylesheet Compact Grey Scale with a white background.

This is the same stylesheet, and the topics now have a fill color.

Versions

Mind maps opened with SimpleMind 2.9.2 for Android and SimpleMind 2.9.2 for iPad&iPhone will show your patterns and images. This feature will be added in SimpleMind 2.10
