How to install and activate SimpleMind Pro for Windows

  1. Use the delivery e-mail to download the SimpleMind installer.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file to run the installer.
  3. Start SimpleMind.
  4. The Activation dialog appears.
  5. Go to your mail application and select all text in the delivery email by pressing Ctrl + A. All text in the mail app is selected now. Next, use Ctrl + C to copy all the text.
  6. Return to the SimpleMind Activation dialog and click OK.
  7. SimpleMind activates and starts.

Problems?

It says the code is wrong or for a different product.
Please copy all the text in the e-mail.
If your e-mail app automatically translates text, make sure it shows the original English text. The translation can alter the activation code.

Where can I enter the key in the trial?
You cannot activate the SimpleMind Trial. Please use your delivery e-mail to install and activate SimpleMind Pro.

I purchased SimpleMind Pro, but I still see ‘Trial is expired’ or ‘Trial is about to expire.’
The SimpleMind Trial and SimpleMind Pro are two different applications. This means the trial version is still opening instead of SimpleMind Pro.

  • First, uninstall or remove the trial version.
  • This will not delete your mind maps.
  • Next, start SimpleMind Pro.
  • If SimpleMind Pro was not yet installed, use the delivery e-mail to install and activate SimpleMind.

I am unable to download the file, or the downloaded file is corrupt.
This is either because the download was incomplete, or a virus scanner has blocked the download. Temporarily disable the virus scanner and re-download SimpleMind.

I see a warning ‘The app you’re trying to install is not from the Microsoft Store’.
This is a Microsoft setting that restricts installations to the Microsoft Store. You can change this setting by clicking the last line: ‘Change app recommendation settings.’
