Move mind maps to a new device

Move mind maps to a new device to keep working with the mind maps you already made. Moving mind maps to a new device is possible in the paid editions.

First install SimpleMind on the new device. Remember, you need a a separate license for each platform.
Where are the mind map stored?

• In a cloud. You do not need to copy mind maps, you only have to set-up the cloud on your new device.
• Your device only. Copy the mind maps to your new device. You need access to your old device to do this. This may be a great time to start storing mind maps in a cloud. That way your mind maps are stored safely even if something were to happen to your device.
  • Mac and Windows: Copy the files as you would any other file and use an app such as mail, or portable device, to transfer the mind maps to the new device. Still using version 1.x? Try to update to SimpleMind 2.x first so you can esily copy the mind maps.
  • Android: Go the Local. At the top use the "share" icon to create a .smmstore file. On the new device open SimpleMind Pro, go to the local tab use use the "import" button. Locate the .smmsstore to import the mind maps.
  • iPad&iPhone. The easiest way is to turn on  iCloud (via "add Cloud"). SimpleMind will then copy all mind maps to iCloud. Or open the mind map(s) and use the "share" button for each mind map.

Moving mind maps from Lite or the free version?
It is not possible in the free editions to import mind maps. Please upgrade to the paid edition via in-app purchase or by purchasing SimpleMind Pro.
