How to install and activate SimpleMind Pro for Mac (SimpleApps edition)

  1. Use the delivery e-mail to download the SimpleMind .dmg file.
  2. Typically, you will find the file in the Downloads folder.
  3. Double-click the downloaded file.
    Install SimpleMind Pro Drag to Applications
  4. Drag and drop SimpleMind Pro to Applications. This will change what you see.
  5. Double-click the Applications folder.
  6. Double-click to start SimpleMind.
  7. You may see a warning that you downloaded the file from the internet. Select Open.
  8. The Activation dialog appears.
  9. Go to your mail application and select all text in the delivery email by pressing Command+ A. All text in the mail app is selected now. Next use Command + C to copy all the text.
  10. Return to the SimpleMind Activation dialog and click on the OK button.
  11. SimpleMind activates and starts.
  12. You may still see the disk image in Downloads or on Desktop. Control+click and select “eject” to close that.
  13. Use Finder to delete SimpleMind Trial.app from Applications. This will not delete your mind maps.

Problems?

It says the code is wrong or for a different product.
Please copy all the text in the e-mail. If your e-mail app automatically translates text, make sure it shows the original English text. The translation can alter the activation code.

Where can I enter the key in the trial or the free version from the AppStore?
You cannot activate the SimpleMind Trial or the free version. Please use your delivery e-mail to install and activate SimpleMind Pro.

I purchased, but I still see Trial is expired or Trial is about to expire.
The SimpleMind Trial and SimpleMind Pro are two different applications. This means the trial version is opening instead of SimpleMind Pro.

  • First,  remove the SimpleMind Trial.app.
  • This will not delete your mind maps.
  • Next start SimpleMind Pro.
  • If SimpleMind Pro was not yet installed, use the delivery e-mail to install and activate SimpleMind.

I am unable to download the file, or the download file is corrupt.
This is either because the download was incomplete, or a virus scanner has blocked the download. Temporarily disable the virus scanner and re-download SimpleMind.
